When your send a prescription referral for Ig therapy, we’ll help you make the most appropriate choice based on your patient’s medical and prescription benefit coverage. Both CVS Specialty and Coram are a part of CVS Health®.
Our dedicated Ig team helps expedite the submission process. In fact, with CVS Specialty we can connect to your electronic health record (EHR) to process more than 50% of prescriptions without additional outreach§§.
Both CVS Specialty and Coram are accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC) and URAC. In fact, Coram is the only national home infusion company with TJC accreditation. We also use smart therapy guides, decision support tools and medication barcode scanning to ensure top quality clinical care.
Our nurses and IgNS-certified pharmacists receive advanced training on Ig therapies and how to use the latest supplies and equipment. Plus, our nurses have experience with infusion administration in both in-home care settings and ambulatory infusion suites. To stay up to date, they complete yearly trainings.
You can always check on the order status of your patients’ specialty infusion prescriptions through your CVS Specialty CentralTM dashboard. If reauthorizations are needed, we’ll reach out proactively to let you know.
We have access to most infusion drugs, including limited distribution drugs. We also have plans in place to avoid disruptions in case of drug shortages or other emergencies. For example, during hurricane season, we can ship your patients’ Ig medication to a different location.
Yes, we can. Our team can help connect patients to third-party financial assistance programs. And if your patient use Coram, they will have access to our patient advocacy team. The team can also provide ongoing healthcare journey counseling and education to your patient and their caregivers.
Yes, our highly trained Ig pharmacists and nurses have extensive Ig training. They're available to answer patients' questions and offer one-on-one support.
